Cate’s Kevin Ha and Jason Xiao swept three sets each in singles to lead Cate to a 12-6 non-league victory at Laguna Blanca on Wednesday.
Edward Cho and Christian Herman teamed to lead the Rams’ doubles effort with a three-set sweep of their own.
Henry Farrell and Alex Furukawa won two of three doubles sets. The pair were playing together for the first time and dropped the first set 6-4 before coming back to win the next two. Kylan Tyng won a tiebreaker over Trey Jackson to earn Laguna a point in singles.
