Hannah Rogers recorded a 20-20, with 21 points and 20 rebounds to lead Bishop Diego to a 49-36 girls basketball win over Nordhoff in a Tri-Valley League game on Thursday night.
Jordyn Lilly added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Summer Soto contributed six points as a starter. Morgan Wallace added five points and grabbed 19 rebounds.
After leading by two at halftime, Bishop Diego blew the game open in the third quarter by outscoring Nordhoff 18-7 in the third quarter.
The Cardinals sealed the victory by making 9 of 13 free throws in the fourth quarter.
“It was nice to be able to finish the game in that fashion,” said Bishop coach Jeff Burich.
Bishop Diego improves to 16-8 overall and 4-4 in the TVL. The Cardinals host La Reina on Tuesday.
