Monique Sanchez had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Carpinteria rolled past Fillmore 51-35 in a Frontier League girls basketball game on Saturday.
The Warriors improve to 13-7 overall and 10-2 in the league. A win in their last two games would clinch a tie for the title. Two wins would give them the outright title.
Tori Kelley played a strong game, scoring a game-high 16 points, with three assists and three steals. Sanchez also had five steals and Maddie Cleek came off the bench to score six points.
