Hannah Rogers poured in 25 points, and Bishop Diego finished the regular season strong, beating Santa Paula, 56-30, in a Tri-Valley League girls basketball game.
The result leaves the Cardinals at 6-4 in league, tied with Santa Clara. A playoff game for the league’s third automatic playoff berth was scheduled for Friday night, but it was cancelled Friday morning. The teams split their league games. Santa Clara was awarded the No. 3 spot and Bishop will apply for an at-large berth.
Bishop (18-8) expects to get in as it is ranked No. 2 in the latest CIF Division 5A poll.
