With an undefeated performance in the doubles department, the Santa Barbara High boys tennis team defeated Arroyo Grande in a 17-1 demolition on the road on Wednesday.
Jackson Powell and Taggart Mills carried the majority of the singles load as they both went undefeated on the day. Mills did so without faltering a single game.
In doubles, Jordan Rodnick teamed up with Logan Lender, Miles Hale played with Harry DeBoer, and Tyler Greenwald paired with Benjamin Bird and Issac Kershner, all of whom went 3-0.
“I was pleased with our mental focus throughout the match,” said coach Greg Tebbe. “Our players fought for every point from start to finish.”
The Dons improve to 2-0 and are set to play a talented Palos Verdes on Thursday at home.
