Giovanni Rodriguez’s hat trick sparked an eventual 6-0 demolition for the Carpinteria boys soccer team as they faced Nordhoff on Thursday.
Rodriguez’ goals 23rd, 29th, and 40th minute of the first half, the first of which was shortly after a beautiful cross by Victor Saldana connected with Diego Contreras in only the 9th minute of the game.
Christian Chacon and Miguel Palau closed out the game with goals in the 50th and 73rd minute respectively.
Luis Ramirez finished the day with 2 assists while Francisco Arroyo dished out 1.
“With different personnel scoring and distributing balls for goals it’s evident the chemistry and team philosophy of playing as a team is the only way to continue to win games,” said coach Leonardo Quintero.
The Warriors improve to 6-1 in league and will hit the road to play Cate on Friday for what could potentially be the Tri-Valley League Championship.
