Bolden Brace blew up for 39 points in Friday’s 81-52 CIF playoff win for Santa Barbara over Royal.
The Dons junior shot 14-for-21 from the field, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range. It was a season high for Brace, who added four assists and three steals. Nick Busch and Chris Wagonhurst added nine points each.
Santa Barbara led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter and built on the lead after every period. The Dons shot well, knocking down 31-of-59 field goal attempts including 10-of-20 from beyond the 3-point arc.
Santa Barbara (26-4) advances to the second round of the CIF Division 2A playoff on Tuesday.
