Cameron Cox, Ryan Fidel, Blair Middleton, Patrick Konkol and Jeff Uyesaka won individual titles at the San Marcos Invitational on Saturday, helping Dos Pueblos top 13 other teams for the team championship.
San Marcos’ Joseph Alvaro and Santa Barbara High’s August Cisneros won their respective divisions to claim the only titles for the Royals and Dons.
The Chargers, with 270 points, were well ahead of second-place Channel Islands (160) and Westlake (106).
Uyesaka and Konkol had memorable performances. Uyesaka won five matches by fall at 145 pounds while Konkol had three in the 195-pound division.
DP’s Joshua Murphy, Diego Lopez, Damien Pennington, Gamaliel Perez and Noah Stevens added second-place results for the Chargers.
