“We had our running game going and we stuck to the game plan, which was run, run, run, run, run,” said coach Sandrine Krul. “It was nice to get everyone in and they’re improving. The season isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. We’ve played really well the last two games. People are sticking to their roles and when they do that, everything falls into place.”
Raheem scored all 13 of her points in the second half and Vanessa DeSimone also had 13 for Pierce (4-16, 1-5).
SBCC continued to build its lead and expanded it to 22 on a three-point play by Slyvia Hoover-Purter that made it 69-47 with 7:44 to go.
The Vaqueros have a bye Saturday, then host Oxnard on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
