Santa Barbara Elite split its beach volleyball matches against Crescent City of Santa Monica and San Diego Beach in rainy conditions at West Beach last Saturday.
SB Elite blanked Crescent Beach 5-0 before getting shut out by San Diego Beach 5-0.
“Throughout the day, the girls battled through very wet conditions, something that most beach volleyball players would normally pass on to wait for another sunny Southern California day,” Elite coach Dillan Bennett said. “With the wet conditions came a very compact surface, which proved to be difficult to navigate early on. Once the sand got churned up a bit, the girls played great and pulled out some very tight matches.”
