Westmont basketball players handed out assists like Christmas presents in an 82-62 non-conference win over La Sierra on Saturday at Murchison Gym.
Twenty-three of Westmont’s 27 baskets came off assists, which pleased coach John Moore.
Daniel Carlin had three assists, while Cory Blau, Britton Williams and Sean Harman ended with four each.
“Anytime you have those kinds of numbers, you’re on the right track,” Moore said. “Twenty-three assists to 27 baskets is a ratio that is really, really hard to do. It was a great indicator of how we continue to shoot it well from the three-point line.”
Blau led the charge with 20 points, while Harman had 17, Carlin coupled 14 points with eight rebounds and Williams notched 11 points and three steals.
The Warriors (9-6, 2-1 GSAC) returns to conference play on Tuesday at William Jessup University.
