Westmont pounded San Diego Christian on the boards and romped to a 75-49 basketball win in a GSAC game Thursday night at Murchison Gym.
The Warriors outrebounded their opponents 58-27
Daniel Carlin was a force in the paint tonight, scoring a game-high 19 points and grabbing eight rebounds.
Sophomore Sam Bentz saw some extended playing time and played well. He had six rebounds.
“Sam (Bentz) was really special tonight,” coach John Moore said. “He makes us so much more stable out there on the court and it truly is great to have him healthy and playing again. I’m excited to have him back. He is someone who is going to make an impact on this team in the games to come.
The Warriors (12-6, 4-1 GSAC) play at home again on Saturday against No. 13 Arizona Christian. Tip off is at 4 p.m.
