The Carpinteria girls soccer suffered a 5-0 loss to Oxnard in a non league game on Friday.
“This had the potential to be a great matchup for us but we
unfortunately were quite a bit shorthanded and hampered by injuries and
sickness along with being mentally and physically spent from the night
before,” reported Warriors coach Charles Bryant. “We had many players playing out of position which made it even
tougher. But I was impressed with Oxnards skill and sportsmanship.”
Megan Durflinger, Natalie Saito, Lesly Zapata, Kelsie Bryant, Elie Morgan, Brenda Garcia, Laura Valdez drew praise from Bryant.
Carpinteria is now 10-7-1 overall and 8-2 in the Frontier League.
