Judith Angulo, Isabella Gregson and Emily Velez scored for Bishop Diego on Wednesday in the Cardinals’ 3-0 victory over Dunn.
Angulo and Gregson scored in the first half to give Bishop a 2-0 halftime lead. Velez made it 3-0 late in the game on an unassisted strike.
Cardinals head coach Joshua Ledenzo credited Ava Troiani and Gregson with establishing control of the midfield early on, setting up Bishop Diego’s attack.
Lilly Dallow recorded the shutout in goal, with defenders Monica Robles, Anna Coronado, Judith Angulo and Ashlee Cordeiro doing the heavy lifting by keeping Dunn’s offense in check.
