Carpinteria scored a 43-37 victory over Carpinteria on Thursday in a Frontier League game.
“We continually made bad decisions and could not make a lay-up to save our lives,” reported Cate head coach Amy Venditta. “Carp pressed the whole game and we had trouble making good passes.”
Brittany Newsome’s 10 points were a team high while Elan Halpern tallied 12 rebounds, two steals and six assists. Amber Thiery chipped in eight points, and Delaney Mayfield and Miriam Weiss had six each.
Cate faces Grace Brethren on Tuesday in its next game.
