San Marcos was outscored 20-7 in the fourth quarter and dropped a 40-27 girls basketball game against Hueneme on Saturday.
The Vikings hit 6 of 9 shots and madd six free throws in their last five possession of the fourth quarter to break a 20-20 tied.
“The girls played hard and we were right there with them,” San Marcos assistant coach Aaron Solis said. “They got hot and we went cold in the fourth and that was the difference. But we get another chance at them in a couple of weeks and the girls are excited to play them again.”
