Jessie Jimenez was credited with a hat trick and Dos Pueblos’ defense recorded its fourth-straight shutout on Thursday in a 3-0 Channel League victory over San Marcos.
The Chargers kept the clean sheet intact despite playing a man down during the second half after a red card. The Chargers (4-0) haven’t allowed a goal in four league games with a goal differential of 11-0.
Jimenez gave the Chargers a lead on an own goal that he kicked off a defender in the 13th minute. Holding its 1-0 lead into the second half, Jimenez added to his total in the 44th minute. Will Parker crossed from 25 yards out to Jimenez who finished.
Jimenez completed the hat trick near the end, punching home a ball that came from Tim Heiduk’s attempt on goal off a throw-in by Drew Richard.
