Carpinteria had four different players score in Friday’s 5-0 victory over Bishop Diego.
Diego Contreras scored on an assist by Victor Saldana in the 26th minute to start the scoring. Christian Chacon finished the scoring in the 62nd minute unassisted.
In between, Juan Pablo Alvarez converted a penalty kick and freshman Luis Garcia scored from 25 yards out on an assist by Miguel Palau.
Warriors head coach Leonardo Quintero praised the work from four young players.
“Cristian Estrada, Brian tiara, Armando Soriano and Luis Garcia all made the move from JV to help out some tired varsity legs and give them much needed rest,” Quintero said.
Edward Delgado and Jose Angeles combined for the shutout playing one half each.
Carpinteria is now 8-3-1 overall and 5-1-0 in league.
