Dos Pueblos’ hot start was short-lived on Friday as the Chargers fell to Ventura 74-55 in a Channel League game.
The Chargers led 24-19 after the first period thanks to great three-point shooting by Diego Riker and Jayson Williams.
But Ventura, led by Dustin Houck’s 19 points, rallied in the second quarter and outscored the Chargers 26-11 to take control.
Williams’ 13 points were a team-high for Dos Pueblos. Marcellous Gossett added 12 points, Eli Wopat 12 and Riker 10.
The Chargers fall to 4-14, 0-5.
