Bishop Diego struggled with Santa Clara’s size and quickness and dropped a 56-41 decision against the Saints in a non-league boys basketball game on Friday night.
Alexis Herrera scored 11 points, Marcos Schneider added nine, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Mitchell Cota had eight points for the Cardinals, who fall to 8-14 overall.
Bishop plays at Carpinteria on Wednesday.
