Scott Everman and Ryan McCarthy knocked down a collective 47 points on Thursday as the San Marcos boys basketball demolished Pacifica 72-29 in a non-league matchup.
Everman dropped 24 points while McCarthy was only one point behind with 23.
“We had a 45 minute talk before the game, the main topic of the talk was how we want to play for each other, and that’s exactly what the boys did,” said coach Landon Boucher. “It was an all around team effort, everyone on the team had a chance to contribute tonight.”
The Royals are set to host rival Santa Barbara High in the first channel league matchup of the season.
