GVB: Cate’s Shelburne is Frontier League MVP

Cate made a big splash in its first year in the Frontier League, winning the title with an undefeated record.

Rams junior outside hitter Peyton Shelburne was named the league’s Most Valuable Player. Sophomore outside hitter Delaney Mayfield and senior opposite Maddie Becker were named to the all-league first team.

Carpinteria senior libero Lesny Espinoza also earned first-team honors.

Carpinteria’s Dino Garcia was recognized as the coach of the year.
