Ady Willett finished a through ball from Weslea Greyson in the second half, lifting the Dos Pueblos girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Santa Paula in an opening-round game at the Buena Holiday Tournament at Ventura High on Thursday.
The Chargers dominated play but they were locked up in a 1-1 tie at halftime.
DP took a 1-0 lead on an own goal. The Chargers crossed the ball into the box and Santa Paula failed to clear, hitting the ball into its own net.
The Cardinals knotted the score at 1-1 just before halftime.
The Chargers regrouped in the second half and scored the game winner at the 50th minute.
Dos Pueblos improves to 2-2-1 on the season.
