Santa Barbara High’s girls soccer team was defeated by Oxnard 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, the Dons gave up an early goal in the second half off of a set piece just outside the box.
Santa Barbara made some adjustments to get some offensive momentum. This allowed the Dons to find several good looks, including a shot off the post by Demi Jimenez.
However, Santa Barbara was unable to find the back of the net and suffered its first loss.
The Dons are 1-1 and host Hueneme on Thursday.
