Carpinteria salvaged a win at the Fillmore Girls Basketball Tournament on Saturday, beating Vasquez 59-11 on Saturday.
Tori Kelley earned all-tounament honors for the Warriors (1-3). She averaged 10 points and two assists in the four games. Monique Sanchez averaged eight points and five rebounds and Sierra Diaz averaged seven points.
Coach Dan Mercer said the team was missing two key players because they were involved in the school play. The team will be at full strength for this week’s games against Garden Street Academy and Hueneme.
In the tournament, Carpinteria lost 34-33 against Villanova, 51-33 to Hueneme and 50-25 to Santa Clara.
