Amber Melgoza scored 37 points and Jada Howard tallied 11 rebounds and seven steals in Santa Barbara High’s 62-48 victory over Lompoc on Monday at the Harold Oliveira Classic at Righetti High.
Melgoza, who’s totaled 84 points in two tournament games, made 15-of-32 field goals attempts and added 10 rebounds. Howard was the team’s second-leading scorer with 17 points.
Kimberly Gebhardt collected 11 rebounds and five steals while Jocelin Petatan totaled nine rebounds and four assists.
Santa Barbara improves to 12-3 on the season and plays in the tournament championship on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
