Cooper Farrell scored on a penalty kick in the 77th minute to give Laguna Blanca a 2-2 draw with Santa Clara in a non-league boys soccer match on Tuesday.
The Owls came from behind twice in the match. Damien Nunez tied the score at 1-1 in the seventh minute on a corner kick. Santa Clara went back in front with a goal in the 18th minute.
Laguna Blanca coach Daniel Torres said the team needed to play calmer in the attacking third of the field.
“We were in a rush a lot of times,” he said.
Torres lauded the play of center back Luke Smillie and central midfielder Henry Farrell.
The Owls open Condor League play Saturday at Besant Hill.
