San Marcos won its final match at the Harold S. Young boys soccer tournament in Clovis, beating Independence 1-0 on Saturday.
Junior Andy Mandrel scored the winning goal with a one-time strike on a crossing ball.
Senior keeper Kyle Carter secured the shutout.
The Royals (1-2) will face Cate at San Marcos this Tuesday at 3:15.
