Dos Pueblos’ Tim Heiduk made his presence felt in his season debut on Tuesday, scoring two goals for the Chargers in their 5-0 victory over Righetti.
Heiduk, a returning First Team All-Channel League player, scored his first goal of the season just 16 minutes into his first game. He was assisted by Nathan Garcia. Heiduk would score again in the second half on an individual play that saw him dribble through and around three defenders.
Senior Ameet Braganza delivered Dos Pueblos’ first goal in the 4th minute. Braganza knocked home a volley off a pass from Geoffrey Chappaz.
Garcia scored a goal of his own in the 67th minute, beating the keeper from the 18-yard line after a nice set-up pass by Anthony Solano.
Dos Pueblos’ record imporoves to 3-4-1 with Tuesday’s result.
“We are starting to feel a little more like a solid squad with each match we play,” said Chargers head coach Matt York.
The Chargers play next on Friday at Newbury Park.
