Tim Heiduk scored twice in the first half on Friday for Dos Pueblos’ boys soccer team in a 2-2 draw with Pioneer Valley.
All the scoring from both teams came in the first half as both teams failed to break the tie in the final 40 minutes.
Heiduk, who now has four goals in two games played this season, gave the Chargers a 2-0 lead. His first goal finished a crossing pass from senior Jonathan Garcia. Several minutes later, Nathan Garcia drew a penalty kick that Heiduk put away.
But Pioneer Valley returned the favor, drawing and converting a penalty kick of its own in the 33rd minute. Then, just a minute before halftime, PV scored again taking advantage of a Dos Pueblos defensive breakdown.
After a score filled first half, the second half really settled down with both teams unable to break the 2-2 tie.
Dos Pueblos (3-4-2) plays next at the Hart Tournament starting the day after Christmas.
