Carpinteria gave up an early goal in each half and dropped a 3-0 non-league boys soccer decision at Oxnard on Wednesday night.
The Yellowjackets scored in the seventh minute of the first half and seven minutes into the second half.
Despite the loss, coach Leo Quintero said his team held its own against a team in a higher CIF division.
