The Westmont women’s volleyball team closed out its 2014 season with a 25-11, 25-7, 25-20 sweep over Hope International on Saturday
The Warriors finished with an 18-14 overall record, 9-7 in the GSAC.
“It was a real pleasure getting to coach such a talented group of girls,” coach Patti Cook said. “In my opinion, we were the best unranked team out there. We improved as the season progressed and practices stayed competitive through the very end.”
Offensively the Warriors were led by Sydney Striff who had 10 kills, one error on 15 attempts. Right behind her was Jessica McCann with nine kills on 11 swings and no errors.
Defensively, the Warriors had a team total of 38 digs and five blocks. They held Hope International to just 21 total kills.
