The 2014 Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions features 16 teams competing for the coveted championship at Santa Barbara High School on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.
Matches begin at 11 a.m. on Friday and continue through Saturday. The championship match on Saturday is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. All winner’s bracket matches are played at Santa Barbara High while a handful of consolation matches will be played at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta.
The tournament top seed is Archbishop Mitty, with Torrey Pines taking the No. 2 spot. San Marcos is the highest seed of the three local schools at No. 11. The host Dons are seeded No. 13 while Dos Pueblos is No. 15.
Archbishop Mitty returns as the two-time defending champion. The Monarchs are currently 25-1 and ranked by MaxPreps as the No. 1 high school team in the country.
