Santa Barbara Special Olympics bowling coach Lydia Truong said athlete Sara Ostrowski is so willing to help others she would have come an hour before the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table press luncheon to help set up the banquet room.
Ostrowski came to the press luncheon to be recognized as the Special Olympics Athlete of the Month.
“She’s always very willing to help,” Truong said.
Ostrowski competes in bowling and track and field. But it’s her great attitude that impresses her coaches and the coaches and athletes from other teams.
“Since day 1, Sara has had a great attitude. She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to help with not only the coaches but the other athletes,” said Truong.
