SBCC’s Mehdi Badache and Albi Skendi have been named first-team All-WSC in men’s soccer.
Badache, a 6-6 sophomore from Tunisia, switched from defender to forward about a third of the way through the season and finished as the team’s scoring leader with seven goals and four assists. He had a hat trick in a 4-3 win over Citrus on Oct. 7.
Skendi, a 6-2 freshman from Albania, was solid as a center defender and occasionally came up to play forward. He had two goals and two assists.
Jonathan Mora and Napoleon Bergstroem were second-team choices. Enrique Fernandez and Aaron Aaberg (team-high nine assists) made honorable mention.
The Vaqueros (8-9-4, 7-5-4) won their last two games and finished fourth in the WSC.
