Westmont fell behind 22-0 at Cal Poly Pomona and never recovered, falling 85-62 in a nonconference men’s basketball game on Friday night.
The Warriors scored their first points 5:55 into the game on a 3-pointer by freshman Jerry Karczewski.
Karczewski rose to the challenge for the Warriors, scoring a career-high of 22 points. Hayden Anderson added nine points while Kyle Gordon and Cory Blau each earned seven.
The Warriors (1-1) will take the court in Pomona again Saturday at 5 pm as they take on CSU San Bernardino.
