Scott Everman scored 23 points and Ryan McCarthy made 6 of 7 from behind the 3-point arc, powering San Marcos to a 77-38 boys basketball win over Nipomo on Saturday in the Royals’ Thunderhut opener.
McCarthy tallied 20 points and Kele Mkpado added nine points as the Royals improved to 2-0 on the young season.
San Marcos is back in action Tuesday at Arroyo Grande.
