Shorthanded Providence suffered a three-set loss at St. Bonaventure in a CIF 4-AA girls volleyball playoff match on Tuesday night. The scores were 25-6, 25-11, 25-19.
The Patriots played without kill, block and dig leader Katie Hodson who was out with an ankle injury. Cody and Maddy Niessen led Providence with three kills apiece.
“Ozie LeSage’s consistent serve receive kept our team going,” Providence coach Laura Newton said. “Every single person on the team played with what they had tonight.”
Providence finished 14-6 overall, 10-2 in league. It’s the best record in school history.
The Patriots lose four seniors: Meghan Vincent, Willow Brown, Ozie LeSage and Cody Niessen.
