Led by a stellar performance at the net by Karissa Mertens, the Dos Pueblos girls volleyball team took down Buena on Tuesday in a four-set decision with the scores of 25-22,25-23, 23-25, and 25-23.
Mertens smashed 16 kills while Lauren Johnson and Hillary Bean combined to tack on 13 kills. Audrey Baldwin contributed offensively and set up her hitters with a total of 48 assists.
The Chargers improve to 5-4 overall on the season.
