The quick attack of second-seeded Duarte was too much for Carpinteria, and the Warriors were eliminated in the second round of the CIF Division 4A girls volleyball playoffs in straight sets. The scores were 25-20, 25-9, 25-9.
“We had great energy to start the match,” Carpinteria coach Dino Garcia said. “However, the talented Falcons had a quick offense on the net.”
Carpinteria finished second in the Frontier League behind top-seeded Cate.
