Kaci Mexico recorded a hat trick, leading Westmont to a 7-0 women’s soccer win over visiting Arizona Christian on Saturday at Thorrington Field.
Mexico got the rout started with a goal in the fourth minute. The Santa Ynez High product combined with Brook Lillywhite to make it 2-0 in the 26th minute.
Christine Adams made it 3-0 when she scored off a rebound in the 35th minute. Santa Barbara High alum Jackie Lopez headed in a corner kick from Angela Brown to increase the lead to 4-0 at halftime.
Mexico scored her third goal 10 minutes into the second half, blasting a shot from 20 yards. Sofia Smati got her first goal of the game when she collected Lopez’s shot off the crossbar and found the back of the net.
Kaitlin Swift capped the scoring in the 80th minute.
