Cantwell Sacred Heart extended its shutout streak to four games on Friday as the Cardinals held visiting Carpinteria scoreless in a 28-0 non-league victory.
The Cardinals scored all of their points in the second half, starting with a rushing touchdown by Darion Lindsey on their first possession of the third quarter. CSH scored again with 5:30 left in the third quarter after the Warriors fumbled in Cardinals territory.
Two more rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach for Carpinteria.
Cantwell Sacred Heart (6-1) has outscored its last four opponents 187-0.
Carpinteria has averaged less than five points in its three losses and over 30 points in its four wins. The Warriors (4-3) begin Tri-Valley League play next week at home versus Nordhoff.
