Delaney Mayfield and Maddie Becker dominated at the net, leading top-ranked Cate to a 25-13, 25-5, 25-17 sweep over Thacher in a Frontier League girls volleyball match on Tuesday.
The Rams improved to 7-0 in their first season in the Frontier League. They are the No. 1 team in the CIF 4A Division.
Mayfield and Becker were error free in posting 14 kills apiece. Mayfield had a hitting percentage of .727, while Becker hit .600.
Coach Greg Novak cited the defensive play of Sumner Matthews and Hannah Bowlin.
Cate plays at Santa Clara on Thursday.
