Outside hitter Miranda Marquez recorded nine kills and seven digs for the Carpinteria girls volleyball team as the Warriors swept Thacher, 25-6, 25-19, 25-20 on Thursday.
Middle blocker Jamie Brooks tallied six kills and one dig while Shannon Callaway added five kills and four digs. Setter Katie McGee dished out 16 assists before Adriana Morales relieved her of her duties in the second match, finishing with 13 assists.
Lobero Lesny Espinoza was a pivotal player, contributing spectacular defensive play with 18 digs.
Carpinteria improves to 7-4 overall and 6-1 in league. The Warriors will travel to Santa Paula on Tuesday.
