A combined 15 kills from Francesca Engel, Morgan Wallace, and Jackie McIntyre wasn’t enough for the Bishop Diego girls volleyball team as Nordhoff swept the Cardinals in three straight sets on Thursday.
“We continue to show flashes of really high level play but are having trouble sustaining any momentum,” said coach Jason Donnelly.
In the third game, Nathalie Giller came in and helped to spark Bishop Diego’s defense, but the Cardinals remained unable to close the deficit.
The final scores were 25-17, 25-20, 25-16.
