Top-ranked Cate used the tough serving of Hannah Barr to sweep Ventura Foothill Tech in a Frontier League girls volleyball match on Tuesday.
Barr served 19 times in the match and “put pressure on their offense,” coach Greg Novak said of her tough serving.
Maddie Becker led the attack with eight kills from the right side. Lydia McMahon and Delaney Mayfield added five kills apiece.
The Rams, No. 1 in CIF Division 4A, improve to 5-0 in league. They play at Carpinteria on Thursday.
