Both the Dos Pueblos and San Marcos girls golf teams finished off their seasons at the CIF-SS Northern Division Team Championship Tournament on Thursday at Soule Park in Ojai.
Dos Pueblos, which won the Channel League title this season and completed an undefeated season in dual matches, placed sixth overall with a score of 431. The team was led by Bella Vigna’s 78. Jamie Sharpe also had a stellar day, shooting an 83 for the Chargers.
San Marcos placed 10th overall with a score of 457. Mallory Sestak added another solid performance, shooting an 85 on the day. MacKenzie McBride chipped in with an 89 for the Royals.
“We were excited just to qualify and pleased with our performance today. The CIF-SS tournament is a tough one and we were pleased with our score today and our season overall,” reported San Marcos head coach Sarah Ashton. “We are a young team and we are looking forward to future seasons and continuing to improve.”
The overall winner was Notre Dame with a score of 390. Oaks Christian took second with a score of 401 and Foothill beat Malborough in a card-off with a score of 413 for third place and a spot in the next round.
