Cate junior Charlotte Monke claimed sixth place for Cate’s cross country team at Wednesday’s Tri-Valley League meet at Camino Real Park in Ventura.
It was the first-ever appearance for the Rams in the Tri-Valley League after moving up from the Condor League.

Senior Rainbow Wang was 21st (21:30) and freshman Isabela Montes de Oca was 22nd (21:32). Jessica Liou (32nd) and Charlotte Pecot (43rd) also scored for Cate.
Jack Pruitt’s 32nd-place led the boys team, barely edging Rei Imada by one second. Dylan Ell was with the group and captured 34th. Henry Walsh (41st) and Humza Kurshid (43rd) kept close behind to deliver the boys team sixth place out of nine schools.
Cate competes again on Saturday at the Brentwood Invitational.
