Adilene Aldapa of San Marcos won the girls small schools race at the Ojai Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.
Aldapa finished the three-mile course in 18:52.25, beating the second place runner from Hueneme High by five seconds. Mya Adornetto of the Royals finished 10th in 20:36.
In the large school division, Santa Barbara’s Alice Upton finished in sixth place in 21:21. The top five runners in the race were all from Burbank High.
In boys competition, Will Walters of the Dons came in sixth in 17:17. He was followed by teammates Jared Levy (12th, 17:45) and Andrew Hunter (15th, 17:50).
Logan Briner was the top finisher for the San Marcos boys in the small schools division, placing 13th in 16:58. Walker Odell was 19th in 17:10 and Adrian Perera was 23rd in 17:30.
