Stephen McCaffery passed for four touchdowns, rushed for two and came up with a key pass interception, leading Laguna Blanca to a wild 66-50 eight-man football victory over visiting Discovery Prep on Saturday.
It was the fourth straight win for the Owls, who have scored 60 or more points in three of their four games this season.
McCaffery led Laguna Blanca to 52 points in the first half. But he also made an impact with a big defensive play. With the score 44-36, McCaffery intercepted a Discovery Prep pass that set up a 25-yard TD run by Parker Rusack.
The Owls were able to hold their lead in the second half thanks to a McCaffery 20-yard touchdown run and a scoring pass from back-up quarterback Rusack to Isaac Baron.
Pierce O’Donnell and Robert Estrada each caught two touchdowns for Laguna Blanca.
